     The Magazine I have chosen to focus on were the Kiplinger line of magazines. These magazine have a key focus on finance. They are almost like guidebooks on how and why one should save and invest their earnings, an aspect that is pivotal to one"s adults life in the world of business. By just taking a look at the front cover of these three kiplinger magazines we can see the similarities in the conventions that were used to designed them. The Masthead for all three examples are generally the same. Big colorful letters are used to draw the audience in and makes it well known that it belongs to Kiplinger.. Right after that, Kplinger's iconic tag "Money smart living" is used to create a catchy and memorable lingo in the readers head making sure the magazine can be easily recognized and remembered. They all have a starring headline right under the masthead explains the main focus of that particular issue and gives further information about that issue. " Money Moves, Income for life, and Where to invest" are the ones that were featured. In addition, they all also have a strap line which is under the masthead and tags and are used to further elaborate the main ideas and themes of the magazine. Furthermore, one of the magazines has a bright yellow puff which attracts the audience to specific part of the magazine which further elaborates the contents of the issue. The main part of the magazine cover would include the main picture which stands out in all three magazines with either big bright letters, an unbelievable amount of money, or a beautiful model which all catch the attention of the reader. Small little details should also be mentioned like the publication date and such which I will try to include in my magazine.
