Comparing the table of contents

 ''
The table of contents of Kiplinger is designed in a creative way that shows an organized form of how a magazine should be designed. The table of contents is set up in way in which there is one main picture usually centered towards the middle of the page that displays individuals living a lavish or fortunate life of wealth. this detail is significant to me as a consumer due to the fact that a lifestyle full of economic stability is extremely desirable and Kiplinger makes no excuse on making sure that the reader see that.. the first magazine being analyzed is the "money money moves" table of contents and that features two older individuals carrying a a dog of an exotic breed and for the most part they look like they are enjoying a vacation. The second magazine "income for life: has a cheerful woman carrying lemons and is dressed in good looking fashion. The last magazine table of contents is from "Where to invest: and that shows a couple dressed very formally and sharp enjoying a romantic vacation from home. All three pictures used show where good investment and reliable finance can take you.
The table of contents used in all three magazine only utilize one page to display it. Not only that, but only one picture is used in it as well. The image is usually at the top of the page and the text is right under it. The text is organized in columns that contain a title on the top which explains what that particular section is about. These tittles usually come in a wide array of colors which catch the readers attention and can be seen through out all three magazines. The text write under t is written in a sans serif font and is very brief with the description it is talking about. No credit is given to the photographer who took the picture.
When making my magazine will try to show a very enticing picture which shows wealth and success so that the reader knows that the same may come to them if they continue to read the magazine. Bright colors are also going to be used as well with the same purpose of catching the readers attention again. The table of contents of Kiplinger uses a white background for all the table of contents which means that i will need to use large, bright colors for the sub headings and also use a bright colorful picture as well to match well with the white background. In addition, I will try to my own touches to this section as I will be adding my own type of fonts like Brush Script and Franklin Gothic. Brush Script to make the magazine seem more elegant and fancy with its cursive style of writing. Franklin Gothic will be used to make the words stand out since it is a bold type of font. I will be doing this because I believe that the fonts used by kiplinger are bland and uninspired.
