Magazine Presentation

     When we all presented as a group we all learned and drew influences from each others presentations in regards to creating our own magazines. For example our group's main topic would wealth and money because of this we noticed that many different magazines about money would have some sort of affluence or wealth on the main cover. This includes pictures of expensive cars, houses, yachts, or any other symbols of wealth. in addition, some other ideas for the covers would include either a successful person as the main piece of the cover work. My teammate mentioned that Forbes magazine is well known for always having a prosperous entrepreneur  on the cover Forbes has featured the likes of  Warren buffet and Kim Kardashian who both have created and started incredible businesses. Some other magazines focused on other aspects of finance one of which would be Kiplinger Magazine who had more of a dramatic way of designing its cover one of which would be a man cutting off his bushes that are designed to look like the leaves are dollar bills. Due to all of this we as a group decided that our covers should definitely have to do and include a symbol of wealth.
The symbol of wealth would be an interesting and intriguing part to lure any reader into picking up the magazine. A good cover always has the ability to draw in audience and since my and my group's magazine is about wealth it would only draw in more readers. Everybody loves the idea of having hundreds of dollars in the bank, everybody dreams of becoming a famous entrepreneur. Our goal as a group and individual would be to make our readers feel this types of emotions when  they pick up one of our magazines from the store. We want them to feel like an empowered individual in the financial world when they start to flip the pages of one of our magazines.
       In regards to my own magazine and based of the research that I have done my magazine will try to achieve the same goal as I will like my readers to be as successful as the reader who indulge themselves with the magazine I have chosen to try to imitate - Kiplinger. The table of contents must contain some sort of picture which shows wealth in one way, shape of from. The picture should have individuals who are dressed accordingly. The cover will  apply to those who want to have a firm control over their finances and nice fashion. The lettering and actual content has to be neat and orderly with headliners that pop out at the audience. The dominant spread should be filled with a good amount of information that introduces the subject well and explains it in a easy to understand format. not only that but the spreads must come accompanied with an illustration that makes understanding the material fun and easy to do. All of these decisions come from reading the Kiplinger magazine.
